The Learjet 45, the new mid sized business jet from Learjet Inc. (part of the Bombardier Aerospace Group) makes extensive use of superformed components supplied by both our manufacturing plants - Riverside, Ca and Worcester, UK. The Learjet 45 is one of the first civilian aircraft to be designed entirely using CAD techniques, utilizing a single ‘master model’ thus allowing designers to assemble the aircraft digitally and identify problem areas early on in the design stage. This approach has meant part count is 50% that of earlier models, and assembly time for the first unit 40% shorter than predicted. Superform USA manufacture a wide range of parts including wing tips, fuselage skins, door components and many others in 7475 Aluminum Alloy formed by diaphragm and back pressure forming.
