This American sports car is now in full production with Superform USA producing the entire vehicle skin and many structural stiffening components. With parts manufactured in our American plant in Riverside, California, this car incorporates some of the most complex Superformed panels ever produced and demonstrates the level of service we offer, from forming and trimming, to complex part assembly so that they are ready to be fitted onto the vehicle.
An example of this is the door assembly, made from two Superformed components, the inner stiffener (above) and the outer skin, which are bonded together, and fitted with all the ancillary equipment and fixings required. The inner door panel in particular demonstrates the complexity that can be achieved using the process, incorporating mounting points for mechanical parts and providing excellent side impact crash protection. | |||||
